Yesterday afternoon our diabetes youth workers Faye and Darren took a group of patients on a VR experience. It was enjoyed by all who attended and was a great opportunity for them to socialise and meet other young people with the same condition. Leeds Children's Hospital Leeds Teaching Hospitals

Last week we said a fond farewell to Children's Nurse and Clinical Educator Jayne Pentin as she starts her retirement. Jayne has been a huge advocate for children's nurses throughout her career. Jayne - thank you for many years of dedication to nursing and very best wishes!

Today we were delighted to welcome our patron Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh when she visited Neurosciences Ward L52. The Duchess saw a demonstration of Virtual Reality Distraction Therapy with Play Specialists and spoke to staff, patients and families.
