Flashback Friday. Inter Firms 5k May 17th 2017. 40th anniversary race.

The Inter-Firms 5k is one of the longest running races in the North West. This year is one of change as the route changes for the first time in the long history of the race. We look forward to some great times on a new course which is flat and fast.

Well done to our Fit4Life group who were competing in the North West 10K today.

Letterkenny AC do the double at the NW10k. Mark Grennan won race in 32.23 and Noeleen Scanlan the women’s race in 36.07.

Great club turnout for NW10k.

What a great run from Claire McGuigan @ Belfast City Marathon, finishing 5th overall woman & 1st over40 category with a huge 9 minute PB to the actual second with an incredible time of 2.50.06 off a 3 minute negative split.

Countdown to the European Under-18 Championships gathers pace, Letterkenny AC's Erin Friel had a good run out on Sunday. Erin ran as part of the Irish U18 medley team in Dublin.
Erin ran the 400m leg, hitting a high 55-second split as the Irish quartet finished in 2:15.40.

We hosted a hugely successful Donegal National schools athletics competition today. Over 800 children took part. Great to see.

LAC Fit4Life were competing in the Womens Only Adventure Challenge at Gartan last weekend.

Exciting news to announce today. The purchase of Breffni Villa has been completed. LAC have a clubhouse once again. Its a substantial building which has huge potential for the club's development and for future generations of Letterkenny athletes. DonegalLiveSport Highland Radio
