This is great news UCLA -- a first-ever #disability studies major!! Its launch is a victory in the ongoing battle for understanding & breaking down stereotypes. Kudos to advocates, educators, and students who made this happen. #InclusionMatters #EducationForAll
DOJ’s Civil Rights Division is enforcing our civil rights laws on behalf of all protected communities everywhere. Makes all the difference to have a tremendous civil rights lawyer like Kristen Clarke leading the Division.
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments to determine whether or not a disabled person acting as a tester should be able to challenge ADA violations in court.
If we lose tester standing, how will we enforce our rights?
We must #ProtectADA

.President Biden escorted by Selma Blair who identified herself as a “proud disabled woman,” as she introduced President Biden at the anniversary celebration of the #ADA and #RehabAct50th
Two major announcements from the federal government today.
1. NIH/ Health Disparities are designating people with disabilities as a health disparity population.
2. U.S. Department of Labor will examine the future viability of section 14c, which allows segregated subminimum wage employment of disabled folks.
Huge news!!!! U.S. Department of Labor is doing a full review of usage of 14(c) aka sub minimum wages for disabled people!!!!!!!! They are going to request comments on it and are specifically asking disabled people to comment. #RehabActAnniversary
