It's worth recalling, when politicians attack lawyers for doing their jobs, that it's the will of Parliament, as expressed through legislation, that representation is provided in these cases. We owe firms like Wilson Solicitors DuncanLewisPublicLaw Deighton Pierce Glynn a debt

📢 UPDATE: We've been very quiet at BESt-UK HQ, working with brilliant stakeholders who have helped us re-codesign the survey for the UK context. Huge thanks to all who supported this process. We have submitted an ethics application & hope to share details of the launch soon!

Sexual misconduct is unfortunately common in UK academia - it's not just LSE and it happens in lots of Law departments. It is depressing and scary how some senior, institutionally-protected men are able to abuse their junior colleagues and their students.

Less than three weeks to get your abstract in to the Public Law Section of the SLS Conference . Jessie Blackbourn and I love submissions from across the PL field (doctrinal, empirical, theoretical, etc), and it's always great to hear from practitioners as well !

'The CoA had a rough start with judgments such as Mitu-Bell and Musembi, earning the {tag} the “graveyard of jurisprudence, where jurisprudence dies.” Justice Joel Ngugi promises Kenyans that the CoA might be the new Shiloh of jurisprudence, the sanctuary of jurisprudence'

My summary and short commentary on O.G. and others v. Greece is now available on Strasbourg Observers. The truly outrageous actions by the Greek authorities were denounced by the ECHR CEDH, although some aspects of the case might have required further consultation.
