Out canvassing tonight I met a 96 year old lady who's voted Conservative all her life. She explained she's so fed up of them that she'll be voting Lib Dem in the locals and for Liz Jarvis in the General Election.

This is a big spending commitment (an extra 0.5% of GDP will be approx £17bn by 2030).

Notably, there's no sign that overall spending plans have been topped up. So it's implicitly coming from other areas.
