US TV debut 4/13/64 at 7:30 pm on 'NBC Monday Night at the Movies.'' Made in England with frozen funds, Cold War romantic thriller with Tierney as Gable's Russian ballerina wife ended up in the red. Cropped for 6/10/53 'widescreen'' Manhattan bow but fits 1964 home screens fine.

NY TV debut 4/13/54 at 2 pm on WATV. Jacques Tourneur, no less, directed second leads of MGM's DOUBLE WEDDING (1937) in Poverty Row B that supported vaudeville show with Louis Prima and Henry Armetta for four days commencing 10/10/41 at the Brooklyn Strand.

This opened at the 'old'' 1,960-seat Rialto (1916-1935). The 594-seat 'new'' Rialto occupied part of the site from 1935 to 1998. It was known as the Cineplex Odeon Warner Theatre from 1987-90.
