Two weeks ago, we hit our target of 150,000 more children benefitting from our expansion of childcare.

Today, I’m delighted that number is now over 195,000.

Our plan is working - helping hard working families with the cost of childcare and to get back into work.

We pledged we would deliver 20 Institutes of Technology in this Parliament.

We’ve now delivered 19, with 2 more opening in September. Exceeding our commitment.

We are revolutionising our apprenticeships system. Expanding them to nearly 70% of occupations. Fantastic to meet some apprentices at East Riding College with Graham Stuart MP today, working across industries all the way from Engineering and Hospitality to Accountancy and Early Years.

It was great to meet working parents at Asda in Stevenage to see how this childcare support will benefit their families.
