It's been a busy week getting ready for finals weekend. Wish all competitors the best of luck!

A busy week this week. All greens 8mm tined. We are trialing new method of raking bunkers at 3rd green. The idea is to allow the ball to run down in to the 'play zone' of the bunker hopefully eliminating stuck balls on the face. If successful, bunkers will be raked like this.

When the sun comes out, everything shines!

Beautiful autumn morning at the golf club after that past few days of awful weather.

The superintendent came to inspect our work today! He was very happy!

2 weeks before record temperatures hit the UK we lost our irrigation! Inevitably the greens suffered & the front 9 holes had to be closed while a seeding & recovery programme was implemented. 7 weeks later we are now fully open!

I asked my mechanic to build me a mobile hand watering station and this is what he came up with!

For less than £200 it works like a champ and is much better than dragging hoses around.

Yesterday we took delivery of our new Bernhard Grinders and today was the 1st day of training. Big thank you to Bernhard and Company for a professional and friendly service. These grinders will become an invaluable addition to the operation and maintenance of our cylinder mowers.

Managed to sneak in some top-dressing and an 8mm verti-drain on greens in a busy week of golf. The native areas are starting to give character to the course.

The team have done a great job making the course come alive, starting to get some definition and consistent growth. We'll done team!

Big thank you to Turner Groundscare and Team-Sprayers for providing our new sprayer! It is a massive upgrade and will become an essential part of the fleet. With double the capacity it will speed up our wetting agent programme on fairways.
