No human should have to carry the weight of being their own god.

We say we trust God and then we work our fingers to the bone and our emotions into a tangled fray trying to control it all.

Lord, help us remember that You are good and You are good at being God.

God’s Word offers forgiveness with skin on. Sinless Jesus, absolute divinity and complete humanity, was afflicted and rejected, beaten and humiliated, spit upon and devalued on every level. Enduring it all so we would never have to endure one minute of our suffering alone.

“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” Proverbs 24:3-4

Through wisdom so much is possible. We make our decisions and then our decisions make us.

God, please help us know how to keep our thoughts on You. We want Your voice to be the loudest in our lives right now.

Today, instead of feeling guilty for who you’re not, I pray God will help you celebrate who you are.

Dear Lord, You made me in Your image & that is something I seem to forget daily. Help me remember to celebrate & live in who You made me to be & not in what I wish I was. Amen.

Surrendering to God isn’t giving in; it’s giving up! Giving up carrying the weight of all that’s too much for us to our God, who not only can carry it but use it for good.

Thankfulness can open the door to miracles.

I am loved. You are loved.

This should be the genesis thought of every day. Not because of how terrific we are. God’s love isn’t based on us. It’s simply placed on us. And it’s the place from which we should live.

Loved.

God’s plans are good even when they don’t feel good. This is a solid Truth we can cling to.

Jesus is the Light. The world has no other light than Him. It is Jesus or darkness; there is no third alternative.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” Romans 12:15

Jesus is the answer to our every need. He is our complete satisfaction.

Lord, tonight I'm choosing to release my attempts to control to You... the One in control of it all.

Truth we can carry with us each and every day.

Lord, keep reminding us that You’re not after our achievements. Instead, You are after our hearts. We pause today and seek You with all that we are. We give You our worries, our praises, our stress, our hopes, our everything.

There’s no sin in our life that Jesus doesn’t have the power to defeat.

We must know there's purpose in every season — even seasons of darkness. And we must choose... Will we see dark times as a womb or a tomb? Is it a birth of something new or the death of what we thought should be? Will we fix our eyes on God's goodness or give in to hopelessness?

Instead of always trying to come up with the perfect thing to say, remember… sometimes we're just supposed to love.

May we let God empty the world’s worries from our weary hearts today.

Jesus is risen, sweet friends! And because He is risen, we have hope.

We don’t have to keep pretending we’re fine when we’re not fine. But we do need to stop and face what’s really holding us back from moving forward. Lord, help us with this.

Lord, thank You for the gift of today.

I want to see You. I want to hear You. I want to know You. I want to live in great expectation of experiencing You.

Help me intentionally look for You and Your activity everywhere I venture today. I love You Lord... always and forever.
