At least six current state lawmakers have been arrested while in office. None have resigned. They include two former sheriff's deputes and the Minnesota Police and Peace Officer Association's legislator of the year. minnesotareformer.com/2024/04/24/at-…

Sr. Fellow William J. McGee has spent decades pushing U.S. Department of Transportation to do more to protect passengers and rein in Too Big To Care airlines.

But as he spoke to today, there's been a positive sea change in the DOT's enforcement activity over the past year--which we're thrilled to see.👇

I had a terrible time getting back to the U.S. from Portugal earlier this year because of flight delays and rebooking, but because of European law I received $600 from Air Canada (more than the cost of the ticket).

BREAKING: Airlines will now have to pay you when they mess up.

The Department of Transportation has issued a new rule requiring airlines to give you an automatic refund if your flight is canceled or delayed or if they lose your bags.

It’s a game changer for U.S. travel.

BREAKING: The FTC just banned non-compete agreements.

The Federal Trade Commission has issued a final rule making it illegal for bosses to make workers sign noncompetes in any scenario, and voiding nearly all existing noncompetes.

This is a game changer for American workers.

The FTC will complete its ban on noncompete agreements today, and that's when the fight really begins, Luke Goldstein and I wrote. A Chamber of Commerce official said last week they would sue to block the rule—and possibly the FTC's rulemaking authority.
