I think you might find that the minor roads in the Yorkshire Dales have slightly less traffic than those in Bucks

Despite progress on recycling in many areas, too much plastic waste ends up in landfill or our oceans. So I was delighted to meet schoolchildren taking part in The Big Plastic Count project who came to UK House of Commons to explain what more we can do to cut plastic waste.

LET’S GET TOUGH. (Action, not weasel words from weak politicians)
More great work here - but this lazy and irresponsible bloke littering should get a £1,000 fine immediately AND six penalty points on his licence. He won’t do it again… Nicholas Hellen

Yes, and the public wanted support during Covid, financial help with sky high energy bills and Cost of Living support. Add in all the money for the NHS and Welfare and it all has to be paid for. The country needs to decide what it can afford and to what standard going forward.

Great report on our new initiative in Bucks to help crack down on roadside littering. Fines of at least £500 with no discount. £1000 if not paid on time.

Good to see Buckinghamshire Council ‘s pioneering scheme for dashcam footage and videos and photos being used as evidence to fine those who throw litter out of windows getting support. The Good Morning Britain poll revealed 80% of people supported the scheme

Just done a piece with Aylesbury Wombles for Channel 5 News with Bradley Harris around the litter issue we have not only in Bucks but across the country. And what Buckinghamshire Council are doing about it....which is a brilliant idea! BTW. 14 bags of rubbish was collected during filming!

Our campaign partner, Danny Lucas from @littergram is absolutely right - 'this is a brilliant way to clean up Britain'. 👏
It's very simple... if you don't litter, you don't have anything to worry about, you won't be caught on camera.

The plan is working, and we’re turning a corner. Inflation is falling faster than expected, significantly down from its 11% peak.

Really welcome news. Alongside our tax cuts, worth around £900 a year to the average worker, people should start to feel the difference in their pay…

During an Urgent Question on the rail manufacturing sector, I pressed the Rail Minister Huw Merriman MP to prioritise getting new trains onto Chiltern Railways and modern fit for purpose trains instead of old diesel ones for the launch of East West Rail.
