I got a chance to visit the new facilities at the Albany County Training Center of Carpenters Local #291. While there I met with students who have shown an interest in pre-apprenticeships to learn more about the benefits the trade has to offer.

Gus’s Hot Dogs in Watervliet has been a community staple since it first opened in 1954. This hot dog stand has become an attraction in the city, being officially recognized as a historic business by the Office of NYS Parks in January. Congratulations on 70 years of service!

With 45 car seats examined today, the Child Car Safety Seat Check was a success! 3 were correct, 32 were adjusted, and 9 were replaced for being expired, recalled, or otherwise inappropriate for the child. Additionally, one child was fitted to a special needs car seat.
