@MIckbme Yes, many many times if I get talking to a local resident while doing them, I leave them a copy of the old one I was using, and a card with links to my Twitter and Facebook page so they can see when finished..

@MIckbme The ref number is so the sender can view the proof of delivery when the item has arrived, not to track the item. We'd need to allow 10 working days after the due delivery date before considering it missing. Any claims for loss can be submitted at royalmail.com/p58
