INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY A SUCCESS:
Congratulations to Josh Meck for the successful organization of this year's international Jazz Day. Their efforts have effectively demonstrated that Jazz is thriving in the country.

I extend my best wishes to all Zimbabweans on this workers' day holiday. I hope for a future where bosses in Zimbabwe will be fair payers, as currently working for a Zimbabwean employer can feel like a burden. Employees are often overworked, underpaid, and treated poorly.

Today, International Jazz Day is being celebrated in more than 190 countries worldwide. I will be performing at this event organized by Josh Meck at The Zimbabwe Germany Society to commemorate this day. Here is a glimpse of what you can look forward to from me.

The praise and worship session today is coming from The Boozing Buddies Assemblies, with the music being led by The Dereck Mpofu Choir. The song was written by Bishop Killer T.

Even if someone were to ask me in my sleep, I would still say that Chikokoko was the tightest band I ever played with. We played our own brand of Chimurenga music that had very interesting arrangements.The group was formed in 1990, and I left in 1992.

When I began teaching my son Takakunda  guitar, he was focused solely on Jazz. I advised him to learn everything & be a complete session guitarist .Now he plays any genre,that's him on guitar with his friend Naph on bass playing some Macheso.

DRIVER WEKUCHEMA MONOLISED:

This is a spontaneous performance of the hit song 'Rudo Imoto' by Marshall Munhumumwe and The Four Brothers that we did last Sunday when Dereck Mpofu and I were asked to join the Ovation and Fab Fusion band at Gava restaurant.

MONOLIO STUDIOS REFLECTIONS-( 2009 to 2017):
I started running this studio in 2007, many artists have come through, creating memorable moments and recording some amazing music. I enjoy keeping records, so this is just a brief reflection on the years between 2009 and 2017.

This is an impromptu jam of Bob Marley's timeless hit, 'Redemption song,' which Mwenje Mathole and I did with Ovation & Fab band when they invited us on stage during their gig at Gava restaurant yesterday.

Today's Praise & Worship is coming from this young genius.Although his guitar was not tuned correctly, &I had to match his pitch by detuning mine, I still admired the boy's enthusiasm and musical sense. He was perfectly aware of which strings to pluck in each chord progression

Yesterday, I hosted the TMYS film team from Ghana.I was delighted to learn about their admiration for the music of our late international icon, Dr. Mtukudzi, particularly his song 'Todii.'  So when they asked me to play something, I gave them a brief nzwisa of the song.

On Thursday we marked independence day by going to Agga Nyabinde's performance at Longcheng Plaza. He invited me to join him on stage for a spontaneous jam session, and we had fun
