Decebal COJOCARU, aged 18 was convicted of theft from person, caught stealing when he was detained by an off duty officer.

Sentence: £114 Fine and a Community Order - Rehabilitation Activity Requirements by probation, and 150 hours unpaid community work. #Soho

🚨Last night we were helping colleagues from Pimlico North Police.

🛵Whilst on patrol, we spotted a motorbike tucked away in a yard. Our records showed the motorbike declared lost/stolen since November 2023!

👍We successfully reunited it to its owner, who was very surprised and happy!

Great work from the West End Team on patrol in #Soho .

We received a report of a person with a weapon. Officers quickly identified the suspect through the description from a witness.

The suspect was searched, found in possession of a baton and arrested.

This afternoon officers policing a protest on the Strand arrested a man on suspicion of a terrorism related offence in relation to inviting support for a proscribed organisation.

He has been taken to a Central London police station and remains in custody.

We are aware of a crowd gathering at Soho Square this afternoon, due to a spontaneous promotional event.

We are working with Westminster City Council and we have officers on scene engaging with attendees. Groups are slowly dispersing.

An undercover operation has led to the conviction of phone scammers who tricked pensioners into handing over their bank cards before draining their accounts.

Arbaaz Khan was part of a group who tricked 9 pensioners, with an average age of 87, into handing over their bank cards.
