Dreamt I woke up to 193 messages on a friend’s group. I thought, “Some friends…”

Then I actually woke up to no new messages there.

Then it hit me. “I am that friend.”

And whilst I am a little sorry, I’m really not very sorry.

Just seen a video of a mullah abusing a little child in a madrassah in Pakistan.

Shame on the country’s corrupt leaders who care only about their overflowing pockets.

Then there’s that about Shifa hospital, the last standing one being burnt down.

Shame on the entire world.

The UN Security Council has finally voted for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. It must be implemented, now.

It is a stain on humanity that it took the deaths of more than 30,000 people to bring this about. We will continue to campaign for peace, justice, and a free Palestine.

And the ceasefire declaration is passed. Finally. Too late but better than later.

And this is the power of people’s voice. A lesson for people to never ever be silent or become this powerless again.
A reminder that the rebuilding and healing will need our voices too

Once upon a time, I wore the hijab and I was very involved in the local masjid. & to my friends parents, who were not very religious, I was “the Muslim expert”. One of my friends fell in love with a boy whose parents were in w mixed marriage: he was Bosniak, she was a Serb.

One of the greatest sons of Pakistan is in jail. This will never be forgotten or forgiven.

Today I saw a tiny bug climb down a staircase:
Crawling industriously to the edge of each stair, dropping down to the next, & continuing.

Minuscule but intelligent.

How does man dare act arrogant & challenge the Creator of such perfection?

I didn't know my heart was capable of breaking this much, or that humans were capable of being as unbreakable as you.

I'm so sorry oh people of Gaza. Wallahi I love you with my whole heart. And I am so ashamed of not being able to do more while watching you scream on my screen.
