West High Junior, Grace Huang was selected as a winner in the New York Times Teen Tiny Memoirs competition. 15 winners were selected from 13,000 entries. Grace’s story, 'Nap Time With a Kindergartner Who Doesn't Know English' was published in the NYT on Jan. 17, 2024. Congrats!

Many thanks to the volunteers who were at West’s College & Career Center on Wednesday to help seniors with their college essays! 83 students attended throughout the day and are a few steps closer to being ready to submit their college applications.

Are you a senior in need of revision for your college essay? On Wednesday, October 25, volunteers from the UW Writing Center, Madison College Writing Center, and West teachers will be available in the College & Career Center (Rm. 2405) to provide feedback!

The newly renovated West Library opened to students on Monday! Students can sign up to work in the library during their study halls or visit for short checkout visits. There is still some unpacking to do, but the books are ready to go!
