Our Mama Ya Mapendo program continues to equip local women to sew. It's lovely to see the development and progression to more and more complex designs and accessories🧵

At Malaika, play and breaks from learning are essential for a quality education. Especially for our kindergarten! Our playground is where we see lots of smiles, singing, and playing in between classes! 🌈

If you can see it, you can be it! We're proud to see so many of our female trainees thrive in domains traditionally male-dominated 🔧 Currently, over 21% of our technical trainees are women.

Coach Maguy sure knows how to raise heartrates and get our students moving! Sports, movement and wellness are each important parts of our holistic curriculum, essential in supporting happy, healthy and confident learners.

Ensuring our students know the importance of health and wellbeing is of top-priority to us. We have an on-site nurse, who works hard to provide regular health check-ups for all of our students and looks after them with any of their needs 🩺

We loved welcoming @streetchildutd, an organisation that uses the power of sport to provide a global platform for street children worldwide. Our passion for children's empowerment and safeguarding is something we have in common, so it was a pleasure to show the team around!

Our Community Center welcomes mothers to come to learn how to sew as part of our Mama Ya Mapendo program. In our Malaika ecosystem, they benefit from learning new skills and they are able to transfer these skills to support education by sewing uniforms or creating accessories ⭐

History made! DRC's President Felix Tshisekedi names Judith Suminwa Tuluka as the first-ever female Prime Minister. Judith Suminwa says she will work for peace and the development of the country.
