Did you know that Downing College, Cambridge has its very own variety of tulip named after the college? It also just happens to be magenta which is the college colour. I suppose it would have been rude for the gardeners not to have planted one or two in the college grounds.

I endure nationalised railways here in the Netherlands. This suffering includes:

- walk-on fares to travel from one end of the country which cost 80% less than equivalent journeys in the UK
- getting a seat
- trains running on time

Our little Celtic fairy cow. #whitecattle with red ears believed came from the other world. As did some of the old Welsh dogs white with red ears. There is much folklore around this little colouring in cows.
