Spending money to avoid the damage in the first place, however, is an investment

Climate action is an investment in a safer future, and cheap at any price

There is really no point of academics in humanities and social sciences if they can’t stand against a genocide and with students standing against a genocide. This has to be the lowest bar of morality conceivable.

Heavy flooding in Dubai and other GCC countries is overwhelming cities, this is a very unfortunate reminder that wealth can’t save countries from climate change if they don’t have resilient infrastructure.

Lecturing a Black nation about climate change that has a net zero climate footprint while the west (UK, US, and all of Europe) quite literally is destroying the entire world is insane.

Ecocide is a part of genocide. All the environmental defenders & climate justice warriors should be outraged by this, raise their voices against it, and collectivize such that mass death of humans & ecosystems aren’t so readily normalized by colonizers & genocide apologists. 🧵⬇️

What’s being done to Gaza is the greatest moral atrocity of our lifetime. It is impossible to read the facts and watch the videos and come to any other conclusion. To be silent, to equivocate, to deny, is to tacitly endorse an act of generational evil.
