It was a pleasure to be in Radford to meet with Radford University President Danilowicz & speak about economic development opportunities across the region. It was great to hear ideas and questions about everything from college affordability to our commitments to partners abroad.

Wonderful to spend the morning in Roanoke speaking with the Virginia Association of School Superintendents. Especially coming out of the pandemic, superintendents have done incredibly hard and very critical work, and I’m deeply grateful for their service to Virginia’s students!

FINALLY! I’m so deeply relieved to see the House finally end months of painful inaction, stand with the Ukrainian people, and counter Putin’s reckless authoritarianism.
 
Let’s finish the job in the Senate ASAP.

Section 702 is indispensable to the work that the men and women of our intelligence community do daily to protect our national security. I’m relieved the Senate has finally acted to send legislation reauthorizing 702 while protecting Americans’ civil liberties to the president.

Taking action on TikTok isn’t about banning it forever, it’s about divesting it from a company that is legally required to do the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party.

We should pass this provision as part of our national security supplemental.

The best time to pass aid to Ukraine was months ago. The second best time is right now.

We absolutely must get this done ASAP and hold the line in the fight for democracy over autocracy.

The IRA is bringing more investments home to Virginia – this time, $400 million and 150 new jobs in Chesterfield County. I’m glad to see Topsoe announce a new manufacturing plant to make a key component of clean hydrogen power right here in VA!

The delay on Ukraine aid has a real human cost – putting brave Ukrainian soldiers and civilians in harm’s way day in and day out while House Republicans play politics with the aid we’ve already promised.

We must get this across the finish line ASAP.
