As the Cass review is published, my thoughts are with the trans community.

Young trans people already face huge barriers to healthcare, including years-long waiting lists.

Their health and wellbeing should not be a front in a toxic culture war.

1/ The Labour Party should stand on the side of marginalised groups, even when politically inconvenient. That means not uncritically engaging with reports with questionable methodology, especially where doing so threatens the dignity and health of so many vulnerable people.

A great afternoon canvassing in Primrose Hill. Loads of support for Sadiq Khan and Cllr Anne Clarke AM - and lots of people who can't wait for a general election to see our local MP Keir Starmer in Number 10!

Spoke to some 'OCISA' people outside Camden Rd station the other day; just bizarre rants about antisemitism and conspiracy theories about Keir being 'an MI5 asset'. Nothing for Camden residents but overactive imaginations and divisive politics. Will no doubt be shown the door 🚮

Ill thought out 'guidance' that puts Tory culture wars ahead of children's needs. Of course, It fundamentally contradicts the *statutory* guidance in 2023 KCSIE but it will no doubt embolden those who seek to silence and abuse young LGBT people. Horrendous.

Rishi says fairness is a British value, and justifies his horrid Rwanda policy on the grounds that it's 'fair'.

Meanwhile his >60% privately educated cabinet is wrecking the state education system the majority relies on. Where's the oh so important 'British fairness' in that? 🧐
