To start the day well I have managed to leave the house without my laptop. And I’m only going in to campus as I agreed to help out with something but have a few online meetings. Here’s hoping that the one private room in the building with a fixed desktop is available….

It says something - I’m not sure what - that it’s taken the unsubsidised theatre to have the courage to put on Laughing Boy: a play which challenges establishment practices and champions the rights and dignities of an overlooked and often forgotten minority.

When I got home yesterday evening I hugged my boy (man) tightly - & even let him have a sniff (which is something we try to discourage at nearly 25). My beautiful, unique young man who drives me round the bend but I love with all of my heart & more

Both the Government and University Vice Chancellors are corrupt and incompetent. Neither fact is a good reason to kill higher education.

Figures from UCAS show applications for nursing degrees have fallen by nearly a third in the past three years, with acceptances having dropped by around a fifth in the past two years.

So what can be done to help improve the situation?
