We're a week into the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) Fatal Four Operation.
Last week Roads Policing Unit focused on distracted driving including mobile phone use and seatbelts.
This week teams across Merseyside Police will be targeting excess speed.

Remember
It's a limit, not a target.

COURT RESULT - This dash cam footage shows a serious injury RTC from December last year. The driver of this HGV didn’t notice stationary traffic and collided into it. Driver has been sentenced at Court and handed a suspended prison sentence, disqualification and must retake test.

Distracted driving including use of mobile phones and people failing to wear seatbelts.

A big thank you to the member of public who dialled 999 to report this vehicle after it was seen clipping kerbs and driving erratically. When stopped the driver smelt strongly of alcohol and blew over three times the legal limit. She has since been charged in custody.
