It's a cool gray pattern. Some sunshine Thurs morning, rain on Friday, possibly dry on Saturday and more spotty showers on Mother's Day. At least it warm up again next week.

After 2 rounds of rain some places picked up nearly 2' of rain in downpours today. Expect more wet weather tomorrow but not the intense downpours of today.

After an afternoon and evening of thunderstorms, the last of the cells are moving off shore. It will be quiet overnight. Showers tomorrow will be less intense and hold off until afternoon.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for a small part of Berkshire County. The cell will likely produce hail and gusty winds. It is move east very fast at 55mph. That would put if around Worcester at about 4pm, if it hold together.

Here are the 2 rounds of thunderstorms that will impact us on Wed. They have their origins around the Great Lake and have a history of producing tornadoes on Tues. The afternoon round looks to be the strongest in western MA.

After high temps around 80 today, get ready for a big cool down. Thunderstorms are possible on Wed. Showers may give us rain on Thursday night into Friday. The weekend still has a chance of showers but they will spotty and not a washout.

On a scale of 1-5, we are a '1' for severe weather on Wednesday. That means there is a low risk of strong thunderstorms. The biggest concern would in western MA, and the threat would be hail or gusty winds. The tornado threat remain out in the Midwest tomororw.

It's another night of severe weather over the Midwest. Some of that energy, in a much weaker form, will move toward New England on Wednesday. Expect a couple rounds of thunderstorms.

After a sunny Tuesday the rest of the week returns to a cool damp pattern. Round one of rain is Wed morning. It may include some thunder. Round 2 arrives Thursday afternoon.

After a sunny mild day on Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms will rumble through the area on Wednesday. The best chance for rain and thunder is in the morning/ Plan on a gray, cooler day.

What a change from the weekend. We have one more mild day on Tuesday and then it's back to an unsettled and cooler pattern.

The bulk of the rain will be Sunday afternoon into the overnight. . The trend has been to start the rain later and later. If this trend continues we may not see much rain in eastern MA until toward sunset. The later start also means the rain may linger into Monday morning.

Another chilly weekend, but Saturday will be a little nicer with sunshine. Sunday will feature rain by afternoon. A warm up is on tap next week. I'm really liking the warmth AND sunshine on Tuesday. Unsettled toward mid week with a couple of chances for rain.

Back to the cool weather, especially near the coast, through the weekend. Showers arrive on Sunday and may linger into Monday morning. A nice warmup is planned next week before showers and cooler weather move in the middle of next week.

We have 2 chances for coastal showers tomorrow. The first in the morning will be over NE Mass. The second chance is Thursday evening and will be a little more widespread, but still focused inside of 495. The showers look to be light.
