Ippei Mizuhara surrendered to law enforcement this morning and is in federal custody. He is scheduled to appear in L.A. court at 1 p.m. PT. The expectation, according to what I was told yesterday, is that he will be let out on bond at that point.

My take on today's Ippei Mizuhara news:
It essentially clears Ohtani of wrongdoing, but a bookie had dirt on someone close to a star player and physical access to the player himself. It doesn't take a criminologist to understand why that's a huge problem.
