If I was running one of the other parties I'd be so tempted to run this unedited as a party election broadcast. What a rumpus that would cause!

It's astonishing to think that this Starmer leadership video is only four years old. Note the hug with Corbyn, the attacks on Murdoch, and so much more: youtube.com/watch?v=F-Yru2…

Scrapping FA Cup replays at the behest of the Premier League clubs without the consent of EFL and non league clubs is an absolute outrage, an example of sheer entitled arrogance and an appalling abuse of power. The FA needs to grow a backbone.

It's a myth that the FA Cup final has always been the last game of the season. I remember several seasons in the 1970s when it wasn't - eg 1976 - though I actually think it good that for the last 40 years it has been the climax to the season.

Now 44 days since Labour admitted 'some of the personal details of Labour members in the Croydon East constituency were altered on the Labour Party membership database without authorisation'. Despite questions from me & others they still won't say if anyone suspended or punished

As a start, prospective ministers might use as one model Delay Repay, the excellent system for claiming compensation scheme for train delays. It's relatively simple to use - after the first time! - and in my experience you get paid astonishingly quickly,
within just a few days.

Why don't political parties who are desperately short of good policies - ie. all of them - recognise the huge failings of the private sector & act to make life easier for all citizens fighting call-centres & useless customer service depts? Such measures would be a great hit.

Gosh, what a sad day Mark. You've been a brilliant broadcaster and a superb colleague. One of the all-time greats of TV journalism. But I'm sure we'll see a lot more of your reporting and insightful analysis in other outlets. And it's a lot less
stressful being your own

Very sad news. The amazing ITN studio director Diana Edwards-Jones has died. She was one of the founders of ITN back in 1955. Brilliant professional, master of the control room, deliverer of the impossible, great sense of humour, and famous for her - how shall we say? - highly

Why did Brexit Party spend £6,000 in the 2019 election on 'emergency chair removal'? (Picture thanks to Kate Dommett & Mark Pack). I suppose this was around the time the Brexit Party withdrew from around 300 seats. Or was the party chairman deposed? Seems a touch pricey.
