New paper by Matthew Inglis Dr Elizabeth Gadd @lizziegadd.bsky.social & me topic modelling all unit-level #REF2021 environment statements shows that how statements were written contributed substantially to the perceived quality of a unit’s research environment.

Brilliant to see this published, now the challenge to implement this type of learning across all of our programmes Plymouth Marjon University ! Few high impact activities hit that sweet spot of contributing to learning, research and civic engagement.

Marjon has been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023.

The TEF is a national scheme run by The Office for Students (OfS) that aims to encourage higher education providers to deliver excellence in the areas that students care about the most.

Transition September done. Positive start for MJ at secondary school. Just dropped JJ in Bristol ready for uni - so weird being on the other side!

Congrats Alister McCormick Pille and Ben Jane - great to see this published & interesting longitudinal findings. Looking forwards to seeing what comes next.

As we gear up for secondary transition - this is so MJ - hope this creativity will be able to shine. The paperclip bicycle is my favourite, although the hair bobble holder is v handy!
