1/4: Earlier today, I launched this year's tree planting campaign and distribution of aquatic weed working materials today at Unity Secondary School Ringim and Ringim LG Secretariat. Our commitment to a greener future and sustainable practices remains strong. #TreePlanting

Luzira Prisons currently has 69 in-mates who have chosen to utilize their free time in studies and are to sit for PLE Examinations

On top of the #TreePlanting , we carried along with us Mathematical Sets, Excel in PLE Copies, Pens and pencils to enable them prepare for the exams.

When we plant trees, we are not only making our environment beautiful but we are contributing to the well being of future generations. Trees are an essential part of the ecosystem as they provide humanity with oxygen, food, shelter and medicine.

Delegates attending the 3rd Session of the Inter-Governmental Negotiating Committee (INC-3) at the UN Complex in Gigiri, Nairobi today planted trees at Ngong Road Forest as part of their contribution to the #15BillionTrees tree growing programme #INC3 #BeatPlasticPollution

The international delegates were led by the Ministry's Head of Multilateral Environment Agreements (MEAs) Ms Linda Kosgei at the tree growing activity that was also attended by Head of the 15bn Tree Secretariat Dr Vincent Oeba.

The Adoption of the Paris Agreement at #COP21 in 2015 represented one of the biggest climate change milestones in history. A total of 196 Parties made a pact to take drastic measures in the short, medium & long term to fight against climate change #COP28UAE #ClimateAction

The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by Environment & Climate Change PS Eng Ng'eno as well as Heads of SAGAs under the Ministry including Mr Mamo Mamo (NEMA), Mr Alex Lemarkoko (KFS), Mr Samson Toniok (NetFund) & Prof John Tanui (KWTA) among other senior Ministry officials.

Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya today met H.E Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr of Makueni County to discuss restoration of Chyulu Catchment as well as ongoing activities at Kiu Wetland that include mapping, fencing and gazettement of the degraded water source.

As directed by H.E President Dr. William Ruto during the National Tree Growing Day, and in line with the Ministry's Wetlands Restoration Strategy, the Ministry is accelerating efforts to restore the entire Chyulu Hills Catchment.

The meeting held at 316 Upperhill Chambers was attended by the Chairperson of the Presidential Council of Economic Advisors Dr David Ndii, and Environment and Climate Change PS Eng Festus Ng'eno among other senior Gov't officials.
