Y2 had a special visitor this morning. 🦮 Meet Elaine - a 6 month old Guide Dog puppy who is currently in training. 🐾 The children loved learning about their class charity and having the chance to ask and answer lots of interesting questions. Parish CE School #CourageousAdvocacy

Year 2 have loved learning about Further Multiplication and Division in Maths. ✖️➗ Watching their confidence and independence grow over the last few weeks has been brilliant! 🤩 They are super speedy when it comes to their times tables. Roll on TTRS Day!! 🎸🤘🏻Parish CE School

Year 2 have enjoyed completing timeline retrieval activities, linked to significant events from Queen Elizabeth II’s life. 👑🇬🇧 Use of dienes also helped the children to recap that a period of 🔟 years is equal to a decade. Parish CE School #ParishHistorians 🔍

WOW! What a wonderful, festive week we have had in Year 2. 💫 Performing our Nativity 🎭🎤, meeting Santa🎅🏼, Party Day 🕺and Hot Chocolates ☕️ to name a few highlights.

Y2 Parish CE School had a lovely morning at Church. They enjoyed retrieving the key features of the Church and were able to reflect on why the Bible is important to Christians. ✝️

They were intrigued to learn more about angels. So much so, they took part in an angel hunt. ✨🪽

Y2 were ‘Thinking like Geographers’ today to discover where St Helens is located. 🗺️ They also enjoyed using Atlas’ to retrieve their sticky milestone knowledge, relating to the 4 countries of the United Kingdom and their capital cities. 👏🏼🇬🇧🏙️ Parish CE School #ParishGeographers
