I completely agree with this. The set up of the lines before it, the context in which it’s said and the purpose for which it’s delivered create at least three levels of funny that make it hilarious.

A favorite moment from my first time working with Betty

Michael, when I was a runner I think I saw a form that listed her age as 71 (around 4th/5th season of show). That was in, maybe ‘88/89’ If I’m correct (and that form was correct) she would’ve been born at least four years earlier than was claimed. But that’s a lot of ifs!

I was a runner for the Golden Girls when I met Betty White… There had been a photo shoot for them at that time and the first thing I ask her was whether she was part of the layout they were doing. She said “yes… And someone was taking pictures!” She was just so quick and funny

So sad to hear about Betty White. I got to learn a lot about comedy from her… She was such an incredibly special person, so funny, so warm - and so strong. And I have a feeling she lied about her age and actually made it to 100
