Today I wore a shalwar kameez (traditional Pakistani dress) in a Parliament debate for the first time. I was nervous, but proud to showcase diversity.

Biggest impairment to teaching well? I’d say Tiredness. Things that cause tiredness? Teaching. Things that increase tiredness? Doing other stuff on top of actual teaching. Solution - reduce stuff that teachers have to do apart from actual teaching.

Some days teaching is about winning hearts and minds. Sometimes it's about picking up a dead pigeon from the school field with a litter picker.
