My God this is refreshing. To have a politician, let alone someone likely to be PM within the year, talking unashamedly about Beethoven, Brahms and Shostakovich and the value of music and the arts is staggering after the cultural vandalism of the current cabal. Bring it on!

There is something grim about pretending that a gratuitously violent, sexually-motivated male murderer is a woman, when women have to bear so much of the brunt of male violence in society. That this is a male crime could not be more relevant here.
