Deeply troubling news, a 'bomb threat' targeting the East London Mosque & London Muslim Centre glad to hear the Mosque has been verified as safe, with swift action by the Metropolitan Police 🙏 a sad reminder of the risk to muslim communities at this heightened time of #islamophobia

Strong words Rehman Chishti highlighting the level of hate and intolerance against faith communities, is unacceptable. Stating whilst important for a budget to tackle anti-semitism, why was there no funding to tackle anti-muslim hatred? And no independent advisor either?
🙏We thank all of the MPs who took part in today's motion to tackle #Islamophobia recognising the great work of Muslim communities in the UK and urging for the government to tackle the surge in hate crime against Muslims.
🚨There cannot be any hierarchy of racism.
Citing the work of Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM) and the reporting bias against Muslim communities, Zarah Sultana MP highlights the hate fuelled headlines that portray Muslims as a 'death cult.' Sharing the worst abuse is not just rhetoric but policies like Prevent, discriminating & dehumanising Muslims.
Important words from Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi MP reminding all of the remarks by former PM Boris Johnson calling veiled Muslim women 'letter boxes'. Asking why there has not been an independent inquiry into #islamophobia in the Conservative Party. We need a society where hatred finds no sanctuary.
Strong words by Rt Hon John McDonnell MP sharing the awful arson attack on the mosque in Hayes. Remarking the EHRC should have investigated the Conservative Party on #islamophobia . Stating the need to ensure there is no hierarchy of racism, Labour should show effective process too
