If water has flooded across a section of road it may be difficult to tell exactly how deep it is. If you do come across a road that is flooded DO NOT attempt to drive through the flood water.

Driving in flood-prone areas can be extremely dangerous. Remember it's always safer to wait for floodwaters to recede or to find an alternative route than to risk driving through flooding. Your safety is paramount.

The torch procession has arrived at the bonfire in #Corby

We encourage everyone to celebrate Bonfire Night safely. Home displays, if not done correctly have the potential to not only injure people but also set fire to nearby properties. We have a leaflet with safety advice for you to read on our website!

The skies above Corby will be lit up tonight with fireworks for the annual bonfire and fireworks display.

Please note: road closures will be in place from 6pm with no access from the BP Fourways Garage, Cottingham Road along Westcott Way.

We’ve already seen storms Agnes, Babet and Ciarán this year, and although they’ve not affected the county too much we’re always ready to support the emergency and essential services if needed.

We’re also keeping an eye on the forecast for Corby’s fireworks: we’ll see you there.
