On 27th March 2024, with the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health (DCEH) researchers David Musoke Emmanuel Balinda Ms Winnifred Kansiime & Dr Moses Ntanda, we presented findings from the #mHealth for Village Health Teams in Kampala project funded by Research and Innovations Fund (RIF)
We've wrapped up the 5th Uganda National Social Innovation in Health Stakeholders Workshop, hosted by Social Innovation in Health Initiative Uganda Hub Makerere University & supported by Social Innovation in Health Initiative, TDR, Sweden in Uganda Proud to champion accessible, equitable, and affordable healthcare for all Ugandans through social innovation
Our assessment found 47.6% of Uganda's healthcare facilities suffered drought and 39.7% experienced floods. Storms affected 31.1%, rising water levels 12.0%, landslides 11.7%, lightning 8.9%, heatwaves 2.0%, and cold waves 0.1%.
