Lara My sister in London has it (again), and a few people I know here in Cornwall have it. It seems that this version seems to linger and takes a while to get over.

Boots woman- Have you got Covid?
Me - No. That’s why I’m wearing the mask. So I don’t get it.
BW - My daughter has it. She is full of a cold and lost her sense of taste & smell. I feel my throat going a bit. But not going to test. What’s the point?

Keeping masking folks.

Today we take industrial action in the form of a full 48 hour walk out from 7am (Thursday 21 September ) until 7am Saturday 23 September. Don't go to work, join a picket line and show the Government we continue to fight for

The biggest weapon the Tories have in dismantling our NHS is our disbelief.

Surely, politicians would not dare do this?

Well, they are.

Don’t take my word for it. Listen to Michael Marmot, the most important epedimiologist of his generation.

People are sleeping.

Department of Health and Social Care the wards are inadequately and unsafely staffed every day in nhs hospitals !! it is precisely one of the main reason RCN nurses have been taking strike action. Its not all about the wages !!

Doctors & nurses have been begging for 10 years for safe staffing levels. Rota gaps are endemic, worsening & sometimes lethal. This government has chosen *never* to address that - even when Sir Robert Francis urged them to do so. This is utterly cynical.

The problem with the NHS is very simple..there isn’t enough capacity. There aren’t enough GPs, hospital doctors, nurses, physios, OTs, lab techs, radiographers, etc…. We currently have less hospital bed capacity than Mexico. We have the second lowest in Europe.

Absolutely obscene. Using the NHS and the British taxpayer as cash cows. This simply stinks.

Thank you Good Law Project for once again shining a spotlight on political cronyism. theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

An historic day, Consultants and Junior Doctors strike together for the first time!

We are running out of ways to let the public know that…

The NHS is in peril

Patients are suffering and dying needlessly

Due to a govt who refuse to support it.

We’ll miss it when it’s gone!

I want to end this thread by recapping why good ventilation is so important in classrooms…

Spread of illness is a huge problem in schools, leading to high rates of persistent absence.

‘Persistent absence’ is defined as missing more than 10% of sessions.

Dr Dan Goyal That's the plan. Pity v few people & organisations resisted the restructuring on the US model. Even now people avoid talking about the real cause of the multiple crises we all face.Everyone must demand renationalisation of health, reinstatement of Bevan's NHS or more will die

Two questions politicians, commentators, and journalists should be asking:

1. Is tax-funded private healthcare activity uncapped?

2. Do these new referral arrangements mean that private providers have DIRECT access to the NHS budget?

If either answer is yes. Then it’s over!

NEW: Sunak to force GPs to refer patients to private care

This feels like the end of the NHS as we know it (in England)

GP refers to private > Costs come directly out NHS budget…

Private sector expands > NHS shrinks

Have they finally killed the NHS?
