Update: The FFSC Kings Bay will open at 11 am for normal operations.

The Health Clinic on base, to include the pharmacy, will open and resume normal operations 11:30 a.m.

The Gas Station, NEX Mini-Mart and Barbershop will be opening at 8:30 a.m. with normal hours.

The Navy Exchange will be opening this morning at 9:00 a.m. with normal hours.

Update: All MWR Kings Bay facilities are reopening this morning. The Child Development Center and Youth Center will remain closed.

7:45 AM EDT update: Extremely dangerous Category 3 Hurricane #Idalia makes landfall in the Florida Big Bend. Maximum sustained winds were estimated to be 125 mph. Catastrophic storm surge and damaging winds ongoing.

When the storm is upon us, all gates will close if/when winds get greater than 34 knots. We will open the Stimson and Madison gates back up as soon as the winds get back below 34 knots. The Jackson gate will always remain open.
