Too many university workers are in insecure employment.
Many of those are renters feeling the impacts of the housing crisis.
Access to secure and safe housing should be a right, not a privilege.
Let's end unfair evictions now ➡️ bit.ly/3xc83mB

NTEU members at RMIT University ready and pumped for another day of pickets, striking for safe &healthy workloads, secure jobs and a fair pay rise. 💜💜💜✊✊✊ NTEU NTEU Victoria
Big solidarity with all NTEU — RMIT Branch members on strike this week! 1000 days without a fair pay rise, workload relief or a plan to create secure jobs is 1000 days too long. NTEU Victoria members need a fair deal now!
#RMITStrike
Why is it ok to have an EB that's expired for 1000 days (!!!) during a cost of living crisis, high levels of casualisation, no solutions to excessive workloads while management wastes thousands of precious tax payers $$$$ to fight NTEU — RMIT Branch in court?? #rmitstrikes
Monash Uni… where the Vice Chancellor who tried to retroactively vary the enterprise agreement so as to avoid back payments for wage theft is then farewelled at a $127,000 function. This is the corporate university. Time for #betterunis theguardian.com/australia-news…
This obscene spending by VCs and upper management must end. Imagine if that $127k was put towards teaching or research, or paying back stolen wages.
Another reason why we need Jason Clare MP to commit to addressing our broken governance systems.

Exercising a basic workplace right as an insecure worker should never result in losing work.
This malpractice is all too common by corporate university managements like University of Melbourne.
Staff and students deserve better than this.
