For her AHPD1 project Beth Turner looked at improving the experience of post-op lower limb amputees by improving their knowledge and expectations of recovery and rehab in the acute phase via a patient info leaflet.

Jessica Lock looked at if outpatient physiotherapy is useful for patients with cervical myelopathy following decompression or fusion surgery.

Sophie Boyle looked at post operative care following Ivor-Lewis oesophagectomy to help patients improve physical activity post operatively. She looked at developing a patient info leaflet focussing on increasing physical activity post discharge from hospital.

Josh Smith produced a neurodiversity education session for staff focussing on ADHD aiming to educate, raise awareness and signpost teams to resources around neurodiversity.

Beth Cassidy carried out a service evaluation project to look at influences on patient length of stay post lumbar decompression/discectomy. She compared the effects of BMI, patients age, mental health and comorbidities on length of stay.

Josh Bhatoy carried out his project looking at rehabilitation pathways for HCOP patients aiming to increase awareness and knowledge of discharge options and help staff choose the appropriate approach.

Cassie Blagden carried out an audit of OT nerve centre entries in the Medicine and Oncology team to ensure the team are meeting professional requirements and improve communication.

Aidan Lockwood did a project looking at the use of the A-Step with Cystic Fibrosis, specifically investigating patient perceptions of a new exercise test.

Nokuthula Newcombe got involved with the elective orthopaedics ambulatory pathway project looking post-op physiotherapy day of discharge versus day of discharge from the ward.

For her AHPD1 project Kate Taylor did an audit looking at NG feeding or patients for whom feeding is at risk, hoping to improve patient outcomes.

Dom Hookings looked at career planning for #AHPs @TeamNUH within the HCOP team using the AHP careers map produced by Catriona Humphreys
