If you don't like the cooler weather that's coming this weekend, hang on just a little longer! Temps look to warm right back up above normal for the first part of June as we get back in to a summery pattern.

For those who enjoy cooler temperatures this time of year, you are in luck! By Saturday morning, most areas are expected to see lows fall into the 50s. For some inland areas, there's a chance temperatures may briefly fall into the upper 40s. Think about that...40s in June.

As we close out the work week here across Eastern NC, we will see less heat and humidity, but there will still be a low-end risk of showers and thunderstorms, especially during the evening and overnight hours.

Thunderstorms are winding down this evening but a few showers and storms are still affecting the OBX and coastal areas. These will move offshore making way for a quiet night. While temperatures will still be warm tomorrow, dewpoints will be much more comfortable.
