Temperatures to start off the workweek will be several degrees below normal, with highs across the lower deserts only reaching into the mid to upper 70s. These cooler temperature won't be around for long as temps in the middle 90s return by the middle of the week.

Strong winds from the west are ongoing in Imperial County with gusts of 35-40 mph common. Motorists, including those along I-8, Highway 111, and Highway 86, should be prepared for more difficult handling conditions and locally reduced visibility at times.
