Kiddo finally sent me the video they captured of the brown headed cowbird doing its display. Looks like it’s going to fall off branch. We can’t really hear it because of wind. #BrownHeadedCowbird

First tern of the season - also much earlier than usual.
We also watched the tree swallows as they went back and forth bringing nesting materials to the nesting box.

Some babies for you this morning! There were 5 adults watching 15 goslings!

How am I supposed to get accustomed to the heat when it's 24degrees one day and only 9 the next. argh.🙄

My little apple tree is flowering! The birds have always eaten all the apples before they had time to grow 😂

Kiddo snd I went for a walk. Added a new bird to a iNaturalist project of “our” pond… the sora.

Taper doesn’t equal doing nothing for the next 2 weeks. So 10k done. Shorts and tank!

Today’s biology lesson: Kiddo: The white spots are vestigial wings-
What I remember of the lesson: there used to be wings where those white dots are.
Me: they are making babies 😂
