With premature deaths from liver disease rising and inequality in outcomes widening, this is a critical issue demanding urgent attention.

I met with Avanti to raise issues with its service and the impact on passengers and hardworking rail staff in Stockport, including:

🚂 Poor service reliability
🚂 Underinvestment in Stockport station
🚂 End of cash payments for onboard catering
🚂 Rising abuse of gate staff

I enjoyed visiting UK Men’s Sheds' Reddish branch. This community workshop brings people together to repair bikes and distributes them to local people in need 🛠️

We discussed the work they do to build community, foster wellbeing and create positive change. Left feeling inspired!
