4/4/1968 Dr. MLK Jr. was assassinated in Memphis by a single shot. His legacy of non violence in the fight for civil rights showed his strength and determination for peace. The King family believes there’s more behind his assassination & James Earl Ray was NOT the shooter.

March 31, 1900, Power-hitting 1st baseman, George 'Mule' Suttles, 1901-1966, is born in Brockton, Alabama, or was it Edgewater? The best stories I heard on Suttles came from 'Cool Papa' Bell while sitting in his living room. Suttles hit the first-ever homer in an East–West game

Bob Feller threw an Opening Day No-Hitter for Cleveland in 1940, but he's not the only pitcher to throw a No-Hitter on Opening Day. Leon Day tossed a No-Hitter for the Newark Eagles in 1946 in his first game back after serving in WWII.
