Sign check in! The 'R' is from the Sahara Hotel & Casino. When the Sahara opened in 1952, it was just the sixth hotel/casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sign shadow reveal! Meet 'The Pool Player' from Doc & Eddy's.

This steel creation by artist Jeff P. Pendergrass dates back to 1983. Affectionately known as “mullet man,” by Museum staff, the detailed sculpture features eyebrows, fingernails, knuckles, and distinctive hair.

Oldest sign in our collection? The Green Shack from 1930! Originally Mrs. Mattie Jones' fried chicken spot, it moved from her kitchen to a green railroad barracks on East Fremont Street/Boulder Highway in the '30s

The Palms Casino Resort opened #OTD on Flamingo Rd in 2001. Its original signage was designed by Federal Heath Signs & influenced by industry veteran Brian “Buzz” Leming. After renovations in 2013, the Museum proudly acquired, the now proudly, illuminated billboard sign in our Neon Boneyard.
