I’m honestly so shocked about Daithí. I’ve been talking to him every week for nearly 17 years and we had so many chances to meet up and just never did because of one thing or another, despite being half an hour down the road from one another. I’m in a heap.

Jesus Christ. No. Daithí was my oldest Twitter friend. I’m beyond shocked. We had made plans to meet in Dungarvan for a meal and the craic. I’m devastated. He was so funny, so empathetic, so insightful and the world has been robbed of such a good man. Daithí, I loved you. xxx
