Today, the European Central Bank decided to leave the € interest rate at a stunning 4% to tame inflation in the Eurozone. Two weeks ago, Philip Lane, Member of the Executive Board, explained the central bank’s policy direction at the Annual REBUILD Centre Conference. It was a fascinating talk!

Last week, Petri Sarvamaa’s remarkable resolution on calling on the EU Council & Member States to trigger Art. 7 (2) TEU against Hungary easily passed the European Parliament.

The ball is now in the field of the European Commission, Member States & EU Council to move the procedure forward.
