A 50 bed capacity Isolation/treatment centre for mild-modetate cases of COVID-19 is being set up in Minna.

Niger state has recorded the 2nd confirmed case of COVID-19 on the 15th April, 2020.

A total of 27 persons were discharged from the State Quarantine Facility in Minna today the 14th of April, 2020. Another 21 persons on self- quarantine in Suleja have completed their mandatory 14days without symptoms and have exited.

The 1st death in Nigeria has been recorded. The case was a 67 year old male who returned home following medical treatment in UK

He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma & diabetes & was undergoing chemotherapy
