Hares are most visible at this time of year and can be seen boxing March-April. Edwin spotted this one as the sun was rising in Holt.

Have you ever heard a green woodpecker yaffle?

Their calls are loud, sounding a bit like a laugh (but more screamy!), which has earnt them their affectionate yaffle namesake. The word yaffle can be used to describe the bird itself & it's calls 🤔

‼️ Please be aware that there is currently a road closure in place at the Greyhound pub in Hickling. The only way to access Hickling Broad reserve from Stubb Road is via Staithe Road, past The Pleasure Boat Inn. This closure is due to be in place on Thur 4 and Fri 5 April ‼️
